Saraya

Nestled in the village of Sangolda is Saraya: a vegetarian cafe and artistic space offering a peaceful space hidden off the road. Surrounded by paddy fields and lush green jungle, this one acre property houses an organic cafe, with most of their fresh ingredients sourced from the in-property organic gardens. Pass under a canopy of green and you will reach an art gallery. Used to share and experience art, this space also houses a pop up shop used to showcase local businesses.Translated from Sanskrit, ‘Saraya’ means ‘to begin, to flow’. Following this mantra, the accommodation provided blends seamlessly into the surrounding natural environment. In an aim to keep their carbon footprint as low as possible, the treehouses and mud house accommodation was designed to allow the natural beauty of the outside to flow into the interior. Saraya is a space where people come together to create, share and experience art, food and living in rhythm with nature.
