Republic of Mode was founded by dreamers Nigel Noronha and Stephany D'souza in the picturesque state of Goa, India.
Stephany's tryst with fashion goes back to her school days when she used to sketch in her notebook. From designing miniature clothes for her dolls and later, her own clothes, she began designing for a few friends. She went on to study Garment Technology and learned the nuances of the industry during her stint with Savio Jon. Her own label, Stephany, launched in 2011. Two years down the line, she got her break when her collection was selected to be showcased at the Lakme Indian Fashion Week Summer Resort in the Gen Next category,a nd then a year later at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Malaysia.
Nigel has a background of many trades including aviation, gardening, photography and business. Initially starting out to help Stephany with her label, he is now an integral part of the republic responsible for all shoots and managing the business end of the brand.
The boutique is part of Nigel's ancestral house which has now come to shape after three years of dedication to have their own space to breathe and grow. Republic of Mode's online space launched on November 11, 2016.
