UV Bar plays host to some of the great parties throughout the year. Spread over two dance floors, the Main and the Classic floors, partygoers have the choice to dance and enjoy their night in the different designated areas of the venue. The party vibe extends to the beach, where ravers can take a break from dancing and sit and have a chat with the chai mamas, the local villagers who serve piping hot masala tea. The beach party belt is also lined with stalls selling warm food, omelette bread, biscuits, chocolates, coffee and other items such as cigarettes.
Mainly known for their trance parties, the nightclub also plays host to events dedicated to music of different genres. Weekly events include the Psy Trance Party on Mondays and Sundays, and every Wednesday, there is the Techno Party.

Opened in 2008, the owner of UV Bar is a local Goan, Prasad. From being the proprietor of Sai Prasad Guesthouse, he later opened a little cocktail bar on the beach, where gradually he threw bigger and bigger parties, which would eventually become the UV Bar that exists today.
The name is simple yet accurate; the decoration is based on and is reflective of UV lighting. Prasad works with the art installation company Looney Moon, who designed the interior of the nightclub.
