Situated on the main Morjim-Ashvem route, a mere five minute walk to the beach, Casa Ashvem is a charming property with woodden cottages. The massive gate in deep mustard at the entrance welcomes one into a calm atmosphere. All rooms surround a central enormous swimming pool amidst a tropical coconut palm garden. One of the hills in Ashvem shadows the back of the resort. The reception lounge which stocks several lifestyle and travel magazines also enjoys views of the pool.
In spite of its location next to the main road, once guests enter the resort, it is a haven of serenity. The property is dotted with big tall vases complementing the greenery around. A small suspended fishing boat enhances the decor of the garden. Narrow pathways are carved out of grass cover which lead to the cottages.
The resort also operates a restaurant and bar overlooking the street; serving Indian and continental delicacies.
Cottages at Casa Ashvem are styled on a Neo-Portuguese era theme. The resort has a total of fifteen woodden cottages inlcuding two suite cottages.
One will notice a few rustic and traditional elements like urns and brass artefacts in the decor which is mostly contemporary in style. In addition, paintings adorn walls of each room which add a touch of colour.
All the cottages have a spacious sit-out overlooking the massive swimming pool, which forms the heart of the resort. They are well equipped with most modern amenities - air-conditioning, en-suite bath, hot and cold shower, bathtub, minibar, in-room service and free Wi-Fi amongst others.
